Stitching random bits of fabric

One thing I really enjoy is stitching together random bits of fabric. I have some gorgeous fabrics at the moment so have been doing a bit of random stitching this week, making some bags. I was trying out some new techniques in this one. I also appliqued some shiny lime green cord down the edges of a couple of stripes to add a hit of colour. It is quilted onto cotton batting.

I love these colours!. This one has a gorgeous lime green lining and is available here.

  1. This looks fun and beautiful! Lately I’ve been cutting up strips of random fabrics to weave some rag rugs. Kind of a similar motivation.
