I am all a bit excited and feeling a bit pleased with myself at the the moment!. My large Art Quilt “Looking out the window” has been selected for the Expressions 2012: The Wool Quilt Prize exhibition. I entered on a bit of a whim, not really expecting to get anywhere, so I am really pleased to be a finalist!.
Looking Out the Window 103 x 83 cm (40.5 x 32.5 in)
Close up
The front is made from a patchwork of 100% wool fabrics, the back is an upcycled wool blanket and it is quilted in concentric circles onto bamboo batting . ( The only place I could get it locally had run out of wool batting!)
Well deserved selection – the quilt looks stunning! =D
Thanks so much š It was such a surprise!
Absolutely love it-of course it was juried in!
Thank you so much!..It is my first biggish competition so it is wonderful to have some positive affirmation of what I am doing. š
